Mat Pilates in Point Loma, San Diego
A small Friday-morning mat Pilates class at The Dance Studio in Point Loma, right on the Ocean Beach border. Six people at most, 50 minutes, $20, taught in English or Japanese by Kiki.
A small mat class, and who it's for
Mat Pilates uses your own body weight, on the floor, to build deep core strength, steadier posture and easier movement. Because the class never goes above six people, Kiki can watch everyone, correct form as you go, and give each person an easier or harder version of the exercise.
It suits beginners, people getting back into exercise after a long break, and anyone who wants a stronger core and better posture without a big gym class. No experience needed, and you don't need to be flexible.

Where is the entrance?
The entrance is in the alley between Chatsworth Blvd and Poinsettia Dr, behind the Kakawa Coffee / European Cake Gallery building, not on Chatsworth Blvd itself.
